At Pathway Inc. (“Pathway”, “we,”, “us”, “our”), we prioritize safeguarding your privacy. This Privacy Notice is intended to provide you with an understanding of how we handle your personal information in relation to our website, user portal available at www.thinkpathway.com, and services accessed through the user portal (referred to as the “Services”). It is your responsibility to periodically review this page for any updates. Changes to this Privacy Notice will take effect immediately but will not be applied retroactively. In the event that you disagree with the revised Privacy Notice, we recommend that you discontinue using the Services immediately.

Information We Collect

While browsing our website, you are not obligated to share any personal information. However, in order to take full advantage of our mentor and mentee/student matching services, certain personal information is required. Failure to provide the necessary personal information will result in the inability to fully utilize the Services.

Information You Give to Us: You may voluntarily give us certain personal information when you register for an account and use the Services.

As an student/mentee, personal information that we may collect from you includes:

  • Name
  • Contact information (email, phone number, address)
  • Birthday
  • Race
  • Education information (high school(s) and/or college(s) attended)
  • Organizations involved with
  • Industries interested in
  • LinkedIn profile
  • Resume (job history, education, etc.)
  • Availability/Schedule
  • Resume
  • Headshot
  • Hometown/Home State

As a mentor, personal information that we may collect from you includes:

  • Name
  • Contact information (email, phone number, address)
  • Birthday
  • Race
  • Education information (high school(s) and/or college(s) attended)
  • Organizations involved with
  • Your industry
  • Resume (job history, education, etc.)
  • LinkedIn profile
  • Availability/Schedule
  • Resume

Information We Collect Automatically: When using our Services, we may automatically collect and store information from your web browser, including but not limited to: the device used to access the Services, your IP address, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences generated based on the data you submit, and the number of clicks. This information, collectively known as “Non-Identifiable Data,” cannot be used to personally identify you.

How We Use Your Personal Information

Personal Information: We may use your personal information:

  • for the specific purpose for which that information was collected;
  • to evaluate your application as a mentor;
  • to evaluate your application as an mentee/student;
  • to match you with a mentor as an mentee/student or to match you with an mentee/student as a mentor;

  • as otherwise permitted by law; and/or
  • for any other purpose with your consent.

Non-Identifiable Data: We may use and disclose Non-Identifiable Data (i.e., information that cannot personally identify you) for any lawful business purpose without any obligation or accounting to you. However, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the Non-Identifiable Data is de-identified and cannot be used to personally identify you in the future.

We may share or disclose your personal information for the purposes described below:

With Mentors and Mentees/Students:We share your personal information with mentors if you’re a mentee/student and with mentees/students if you’re a mentor in order to match you with a mentor or mentee/student.

With Your Consent: We may share your personal information when we have your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time by providing notice to us at isaiah@thinkpathway.com.

Service Providers: We may engage third-party companies and individuals to carry out tasks on our behalf and may need to disclose your personal information to them to provide you with our services. We ensure that such third parties are authorized to use your personal information only to the extent necessary to assist us in providing our services to you, and they are not permitted to use your personal information for any other purpose without your consent.

Protection of Pathway’s Business: We may be required to disclose your personal information at the request of law enforcement or government agencies, or in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes to establish, protect, or exercise our legal or other rights or to defend against legal claims, or as otherwise required or permitted by law. Your personal information may also be disclosed in order to protect the rights, property, or safety of a user or any other person. Additionally, we may disclose your personal information to investigate or prevent a violation by you of any contractual or other relationship with us, or any illegal or harmful activity.

Business Transfers: If Pathway Inc. undergoes a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. The acquirer of our assets may continue to use and process your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 13, which includes children (“Child” or “Children”). Additionally, we do not actively seek personal information from Children. If you are a Child, we request that you refrain from transmitting any personal information about yourself to us. For parents or legal guardians of a Child, we strongly advise you to instruct your Child not to divulge their real name, address, phone number, or any other personal information on the Internet without your explicit consent.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a Child, we will take immediate steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
